Hertfordshire Trading Standards has issued a press release following the seizure of significant numbers of fake leaflets purporting to be from the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) which were bundled up with bin liners to look like charity clothing collection bags.

The department is warning householders across Herts to be aware of this scam.

The press release and a copy of the 'fake' leaflet is attached.
