This is a message for Neighbourhood Watch in Stevenage. A distraction burglary took place in Longcroft Road at 1210 hours on Tuesday 19th of August. A slim white woman aged 30 to 40 years old, wearing a white nurses jacket asked if the resident had seen her next door neighbour and asked if she could fetch a pen and paper to leave her a message. Whilst the resident was getting this, the other offender, a white male, aged 20 to 30 years old, entered and stole a a purse and a shopping bag. Entry was gained by forcing the front door with an unknown implement and property was stolen. Please can you be vigilant when using ATM machines and be wary of any devices attached to the machines including pinhole cameras. Any devices and/or suspicious activity should be reported to the police.
