This is a message for Neighbourhood Watch in Bedwell. A burglary took place to a house in Crossgates between 2250 hours and 2254 hours on Tuesday 1st July. Entry was gained through an insecure rear door and a handbag was stolen from the kitchen table. The suspect is described as a white male, aged 25 to 35 years old, of stocky build, with faiar cropped hair. He was wearing a blue top. A burglary took place to a house in Wiltshire Road between 0100 hours and 0730 hours on Monday 30th June. Entry was gained, possibly through an insecure window and a handbag was stolen. Crime number E1 08 4979. At about 2255 hours on Wednesday 2nd July, an attempted bag snatch took place through a window in a house in Peartree Way. The offender reached through an open window, attempted to reach a handbag but was disturbed and made off. He was a white male with a bald head. Crime number E1 08 5045. The police are working with Stevenage Borough Council's environmental services to identify graffiti hotspots and to remove graffiti from areas around Stevenage. These patrols will be happening on the following dates . July 30th, September 10th, and October 22nd. There will also be an Anti Social Behaviour surgery in the Town Centre on the 28th July with the police, Stevenage's Homes and Stevenage Borough Council to offer advice on any issues you have regarding antisocial behaviour.
